The University of Ibn Tofail and the University of Georgia-USA organized a three days workshop entitled « Nuclear Security Culture: Achieving Effectiveness through Self-Assessment ». The workshop gathered participants from Algeria, Brazil, Jordan, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa and was funded by the US-Department of State’s Partnership for Nuclear Security.The workshop provided training in three distinct themes of Nuclear Security: (1) the concept and importance of nuclear security and nuclear security culture, (2) the IAEA methodology on nuclear security culture, and (3) Nuclear Security Enhancement and Sustainability. Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Indonesia, United States of America and Morocco conducted this workshop, which aimed to develop expertise and skills on nuclear security culture including the ability to conduct self-assessment.
